Intern with Turning Point

Our internships are personalized to your learning objectives. For example, advertising students may help with promotional and educational materials while public administration students may help develop management strategies.

Internships are open for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Hourly commitments for our internships are flexible. You will only be held responsible for the time you commit to in advance.

Academic credits may be available for this internship. Speak to your program advisor and make sure you fulfill requirements to receive academic credit.

Please review the internship opportunities below before applying. If you choose to apply for an admin, outreach, or shelter position, submit the google form above and email your resume to jessica.fair@turningpointservices.org. If you choose to apply for a counseling practicum or internship, please email your class requirements and resume to caela@turningpointservices.org.

What Will I Do?

As a nonprofit organization, our responsibilities are not always perfectly defined. You will complete the tasks in this document at some point during your internship, but sometimes our needs vary. What you do as an intern in defined by 3 main factors: our needs, the internship you choose, and your needs as an intern.

If we have a client in crisis, you could be assisting staff to serve that client rather than complete that day’s task.

Below is a list of the internship opportunities we have, and each has different expectations and tasks associated with it.

You also have the ability to complete and prioritize tasks based on your own abilities and learning objectives.

Any alternative task suggestions must be approved by the Education and Outreach Coordinator, but they will be approved as long as they are possible and within reason.
