Turning Point is a 501(c)(3) non-profit social service agency. We provide services free of charge to victims as well as the public and could not continue to serve in this capacity without the generous support of the communities that we serve. Turning Point relies on both monetary and in-kind donations to continue to operate and serve West Alabama. Donations made to Turning Point are tax deductible.
Turning Point recruits volunteers year-round. Volunteers use their talents in a variety of capacities, whether it be in our administrative office or working directly with clients. Please contact (205) 758-0808 for information on how to become a volunteer. Volunteer trainings are offered at least once a quarter.
Turning Point accepts applications for student interns during the Spring, Summer and Fall Semesters. Students in relevant fields of study at both the secondary and post-secondary level are encouraged to contact the administrative office for openings.
Turning Point participates in a number of events throughout the year, including activities for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October as well as Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April. Check the website for opportunities to become involved.
